The Ph.D. programmme in Global History of empires is based on a cooperation agreement between the University of Turin and the Higher School of Economics, St.Petersburg and Moscow, signed in 2018 and renewed in 2021.
Students’ and professors’ exchange has been assured by Erasmus+ exchange agreements with the Russian Federation (2018-2021).
The Teaching Board is composed of professors from both Turin University and HSE, and from other Italian (Milano, Pisa, Bari) and international universities (EHESS Paris, Bonn, Panthéon-Sorbonne, Santiago de Compostela, Leiden).
Co-tutelle agreements have been signed with the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris in May 2021; with the University of Pernambuco, Brazil, in September 2022; and with the Université Savoie Mont Blanc (in course of finalization).
A convention for students’ exchange has been signed (June 2023) with the Centre méditerranéen de sociologie, science politique et histoire (MESOPOLHIS), Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence, in the framework of the PNRR scholarship programme.
Co-supervisions of students’ dissertations involve professors from Doshisha Kyoto, Leiden, FLACSO Quito, Princeton, Yale, Royal Institute of Technology Stoccolma, Universidad Nacional de San Martin Argentina, Linnaeus University.
